Got her up and running thanks entirely to my mechanic buddy Micah. Needless to say there were lots of problems. Some bad grounds, a fuel leak in one of the injectors, some bad relays, and timing needed to be adjusted. Needless to say all of that was way above my pay grade. So thankful for Micah stepping in and sorting all of it out. It wasn’t a smooth process; here are a few videos to shown the progression as Micah corrected the timing and the ECU smoothed out the idle.

Finally dropped the cab back on the frame and started connecting all the cab to motor/transmission components; shift linkage, wire harness, heater core, throttle cables, etc. Test fit the hood and installed the hood gas shocks; really makes opening and closing the hood a breeze. I will let the pics do the talking.

Still on lock down due to COVID-19 aka the Corona Virus aka the Chinese Virus aka Finish the Truck Virus but the good news is that I can spend some of the down time to really put a dent in wrapping up this truck. We constructed a spray booth out of my canopy tent frame and sheets of plastic drop cloth with a duct tape skeleton. Surprisingly it worked pretty damn well and not one bit of overspray on my driveway, fence, or house so I’d say that’s a victory. Laid down about 3 coats of black primer base coat over the bare metal. Came out pretty great with only a couple of runs to address and a couple small dents that need to be body filled before we add final color. Now that the cab and engine bay are painted we can mate it back onto the frame.

As we battle with the corona virus and being locked down started doing little things to keep the progress going. Started mocking up the radiator, a/c condenser, and transmission oil cooler. Also made a lot of progress in finishing re-looming the wire harness. As soon as the rain lets up should be able to start attaching portions of the wire harness to the motor.
